Jason Policastro is a freelance journalist living and working in Washington, DC, but his heart remains in his native Baltimore City. His work has appeared in the Baltimore Examiner, The Urbanite, Investigative Voice, Matador Travel, and other publications. He is most interested in stories that live at the intersection of crime and politics in the post-industrial American city.
This site is a home for the stories that Jason has completed in the past, as well as a place to showcase the multimedia pieces that he is working on as part of his Master’s in Interactive Journalism program at American University.
Great blog here, Jason. I can’t well enough express how necessary and valuable an individual’s “Baltimore Story” story can be, especially when those stories, such as yours, speak from the intersection of policy and personal experience. Keep up the great work, and thanks so much for your support of the Baltimore Rapport.
